A week after thousands of volunteers and government officials flocked to the Manila Bay along Roxas Boulevard for the much talked about rehabilitation of the latter, thousands of tourists has been frequenting the said bay recently not to do a clean-up drive but to bask in the new aura of it, sit on the edge of the sea walls to watch seabirds fly, and to witness the what is touted to be one of the glorious sunsets there is. What was once filled with trash, is now filled with hopes that one day, Manila Bay will be back to life once more. Today , I went there to see before my naked eyes as to what makes people gaga over it. I was amazed garbages are gone and the awful smell has fade away. The calm waters waters are enticing enough that some have already gone swimming even though the government deemed it unsafe due to high ahh.. uhhmm... fecal coliform level. What ever that means, it does sounds unpleasant and negative...
