Starbucks Domicillo Design Hotel

"A cup of coffee shared with a friend is happiness tasted and time well spent." While there's a lot of Starbucks out there each offering the same coffee, as far as location and view are concerned, no one offers a view so panoramic, heavenly, dreamy and divine that is Starbucks Domicillo Hotel. Imagine sipping your favorite Chocolate Cream Chip Frappucino overlooking the ethereal Taal Volcano, how dope must that be? Today me and my friend decided to have a quick one-day-only getaway to escape stress in the nearby Tagaytay City. Adulting can be very tiring so we both needed to replenish before we get consumed by exhaustion. A friend of mine recommended this new Starbucks and upon seeing pictures online, I died. The superb view is something poets would draw inspiration! The exterior looks so mundane and quite appalling at some point. Inside is just another Starbucks with tables and chairs and couches and as go further, Taal is already waving at you and i...

Agemono: Al Karama's Budget-Friendly Buffet

After a failed attempt of getting a new job somewhere in Al Karama, instead of frowning, me and my best buddy decided to look around the vicinity to fill our empty and sad stomach. We were so upset that time and we both agreed that only food can do the pampering. Al Karama after all is known spot in Dubai where a wide range of budget-friendly yet sumptuous foods can be found. We passed by several food stalls but was drawn to Agemono, a buffet restaurant that offers teppanyaki, sushi, and Filipino cuisines. Ambience        I did a little bit of research and found out that there are several branches of Agemono in Dubai as well as in the other Emirates. Our focus is this one in Al Karama which I find so cozy enough from the time we entered its doors. It can accommodate around 40 persons at a time suited for small and medium gathering. It feels home inside actually because of the way the interior was designed plus the backgr...

Zark's Burger: A Jaw-Dropping Burger Experience

It seems that giant burgers are the new trend nowadays. Ordinary burgers seem not profitable anymore. Burger lovers are looking for something unique, something innovative, and yes, something worthy to be posted in their Instagram pages. Zark's Burger is one of it. With its extraordinary size and great taste, it has become a favorite hang out for those looking for big appetite. Although it's "putok-batok" ( a slang for those foods with high calories that may induce high blood), everyone loves it and said they'll just lose it some other day.         Zark's is recommended for those with big appetite. They even have a challenge to those who can eat their biggest burger (Tombstone) in 10 minutes, the burger will be free and they will their picture hang on their Wall of Fame. Interesting strategy but it's not for me. I'd savor eat slowly and savor every second. Chokeslam        Me and my ...

Seafood Island Northshore Grill

I'm not really a fan of sea foods but when we (group of 10 hungry people) once looked for a place to eat after a tiresome day, we thought  of eating in a buffet. So I thought, why not? We all grew up by the way in the province so we're used to "kamayan" or "boodle fight" . We're a group of five hungry boys and another five equally hungry girls looking for somewhere to eat. And when a friend who've already tried eating at this place before recommended it, everyone else agreed.        Seafood Island offers a wide array of choices of everything under the sea. The concept is very Filipino, boodle feast over a banana leaves perfect way to bond with your family and friends. I have heard Seafood Island before and have always wanted to try eating here. So we decided to go to their branch at Mall of Asia since it's the nearest. image from www.pinoyadventurista.com        My friend ...

G-Spot Burger Bar

Few months ago, a new burger joint called G-Spot Burger Bar in Sta Mesa, Manila made rounds online and took the public by storm. The students from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and people of Sta Mesa were among its first patrons but due to word of mouth and the social media, in the blink of an eye,  everyone goes gaga about it. In few weeks time, this burger joint was inundated by customers from around the metro eager to know what fuzz is all about . I, too, want to know why. The Spot         The place is a garage. There are around 9 tables which can accommodate approximately 50 customers at a time. They are open Monday-Saturday at 3:00PM-10:00PM. They said there is always a queue so we went there at around 3:00PM and luckily customers are still few but before we finish eating, the place is already full and people outside starts to queue. Counter The Menu    ...
