Starbucks Domicillo Design Hotel

"A cup of coffee shared with a friend is happiness tasted and time well spent." While there's a lot of Starbucks out there each offering the same coffee, as far as location and view are concerned, no one offers a view so panoramic, heavenly, dreamy and divine that is Starbucks Domicillo Hotel. Imagine sipping your favorite Chocolate Cream Chip Frappucino overlooking the ethereal Taal Volcano, how dope must that be? Today me and my friend decided to have a quick one-day-only getaway to escape stress in the nearby Tagaytay City. Adulting can be very tiring so we both needed to replenish before we get consumed by exhaustion. A friend of mine recommended this new Starbucks and upon seeing pictures online, I died. The superb view is something poets would draw inspiration! The exterior looks so mundane and quite appalling at some point. Inside is just another Starbucks with tables and chairs and couches and as go further, Taal is already waving at you and i...

Jumeirah Emirates Towers | The Biggest Piano in the World

Of all the many buildings along the Sheikh Zayed Road, the Jumeirah Emirates Towers are probably one of my favorite. The structural height, the form, the elegance, is top-notch. And with it being a twin tower, makes me adore it even more. But wait, I noticed that its window panels resemble a piano. Viewing it from afar, it really looks like a giant one. Take a look at my photos below. The Pianist        This has got to be one my most creative shot, ever. Chanelling my inner Beethoven, but a blind one with a thinning hair line. Oh no! Third Party        I took this photo from the Dubai International Financial Centre. This black statue caught my attention although I don't know what it means exactly. The Space Between Us Here's the dabbing and jumping part. Facts About the Towers        Jumeirah Emirates Hotel Tower, also known as Emirates Tower ...

Dubai Water Canal and the Twisted Bridges

When you have four days off at work, what are you going to do? You might be asking if there is even four days off? Well, I have! It can be boring sometimes I can tell you that. On most occasions, I opt to go to work at one or two of my rest days but if not, I roam around the city and pretend to be a sought-after photographer. I believe that photography is innate to each one of us. So I went out and unleashed the photographer in me.        If one day I become a famed photographer, the architecture will always be my favorite subject. I don't know but I just can't take my camera off my hands whenever there's a certain piece of architecture appealing to my eyes. And when I learned I will be working in Dubai years ago, I was excited because, in this city, their taste in architecture is out of this world. Not only they build it, but they build it tall, strange and unique. Difficult bridges often lead to beautiful destinations....

The Burj Khalifa, the Dandelions, and Me

"When you look at a field of dandelions, you can either see hundreds of weeds or thousands of wishes."         It is winter time still and the cold weather is very enticing for a stroll around the city. I have no plans since I went out alone and decided to do the usual thing I love: snapping photos. Since I am fond of skyscrapers, I went to Sheikh Zayed Road where skyscrapers abound. I passed by the Emirates Towers, Financial Centre, Business Bay and as far as the Dubai Canal. It's almost sunset when I've had enough pictures so I decided to take a rest at the nearby Burj Park.         The place is full of visitors, mostly kids running and biking around. I sat on a bench and noticed the new installations around the park in the shape of a dandelion. Then I remember I saw an Instagram post with the dandelions with the Burj Khalifa in the background. So I waited until the sun sets down, and the whole of the park and the vicinity were ...

When Camping is Life | Rediscovering Sharjah, UAE

"And into the desert, I go, to lose my mind and find my soul."        So last month, January 13 to be exact, we went on camping to celebrate a birthday of a good friend. It was my first time doing it in this country the UAE and I was so thrilled of the idea. When you say camping you probably are thinking of woods, forest, or an isolated island but we did it in the middle of the desert.        We arrived at the place around 4:00PM, pitched our tents and prepared the foods. The place is not that far from the main road and we can still see the street lights beaming from afar. They said the place is safe, I really hoped it is because at the back of my head I was thinking of the movies "Wrong Turn" or "Hills Have Eyes" and mutants will come out from nowhere and will turn the fun into misery but hell yeah, am gonna do everything to survive. (Haha!๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚) Then the sun sets down, we set the bonfire, had our dinner ,  and the rest of the nig...

The Golden Dubai Frame

Dubai has recently added a string to its bow as it opened a new and one of a kind landmark that will surely captivate everyone's eye. The Frame adds to Dubai's long list of spectacular landmarks like the Burj Khalifa and the Burj Al Arab to mention some.  The Frame which resembles an actual picture frame is strategically built in a place where in the modern Dubai is on one side, and then the old Dubai on the other side  creating a bridge between the past and the present.        The winter is coming and the temperature is starting to drop to a favorable level so I decided to visit the much-awaited landmark that the Emirate of Dubai had built. Finally, after several delays according to news, this wonderful work of engineering and art is finally done and will sure make headlines and will draw the city's skyline even more astonishing! Facts about Dubai Frame        It is in the form of a frame, with...
